Carleton

Carleton Jones was named to Knowledge Link’s Advisory Board in 2008.  He is a seasoned industry professional, well known in the Federal IT community.  He has served in senior leadership positions at several successful companies, including as President and Chief Executive Officer of Multimax, Inc. which was acquired by Harris Corporation in June of 2007, and as President of Sysorex Information Systems, Inc., and its successor, Vanstar Government Systems, Inc.  In May 2008, Mr. Jones joined INDUS Corporation as Vice Chairman.  He became President of INDUS in November 2008.  

Before becoming an industry executive, Mr. Jones practiced law as a partner in the Washington, D.C. law firm of Shaw, Pittman, Potts & Trowbridge (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman), where he specialized in government contracts and executive/regulatory government affairs. Previously, he served as Deputy General Counsel of a component of the Executive Office of the President, a Supply Officer in the U.S. Navy, and as law clerk to the Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  Mr. Jones is a graduate of Denison University and of Yale Law School.    

A Federal 100 award winner, Mr. Jones has been prominent in industry organizations and affairs as an active participant in the Industry Advisory Council and the Professional Services Council, among other organizations. As a Vice Chair, he is currently among the federal IT industry leaders serving in key positions supporting the 28th Annual Kidney Ball, held in November 2008.
